Inspired by the Palmyra Atoll, found in the Pacific Ocean about 1000 miles south of Hawaii. Although technically uninhabited, for the past 15 years Palmyra has been maintained as a Research Center for the study of the marine environment, in particular the pristine coral reefs and sea turtles that abound on Palmyra. This research helps to provide the information needed by those specialists who are working throughout the world to preserve the marine life and coral reefs of our beautiful planet Earth.
