Jérôme Mesnager, graduate of the Boulle school is an urban artist. In 1983, he created “Corps Blanc”. Symbol of light, strength and peace, which is on the walls of Paris and cities around the world. Jérôme Messager creates for Daum a figure in crystal. The front side is perfectly polished and smooth while the back, resembling wood, is rough. This work of art blends the luxury of crystal with the magnificence of wood, a natural material so present in the artist’s work.
Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient “Pâte de Verre” glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC and involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France.
Measures 3″ x 7″ x 17½” h.
